Hi & welcome to our group. I am so sorry that your pediatrician kept

dismissing your concerns about your son's head. That is

unfortunately very common. You were wondering if keeping him off his

non flat side when he sleeps would help his head: probably not at

his age. Repositioning can help younger babies, but at his age, it

most likely would not help. It would also be very hard to keep him

off his flat side while he sleeps becuz of how much moving toddlers

do while they sleep.

I am sorry I can't offer any more help to you :(. I am sure you're

very frustrated & feel so helpless. Cranial Technologies does treat

band children til age 2. Are you near any Cranial Technology

clinics? Check out their website if you'd like any info. about

treating " older " children. www.cranialtech.com

Hi ,

I just wanted to welcome you to the group. I'm sorry that your ped

kept dismissing your concerns about your son's head shape.

Unfortunately we hear a lot of peds telling parents that the head

will round out on its own.

I agree with Marci that if you were to go with either a DOCband or

STARband, you might see some correction since they are an active type

of band. I would imagine that it would be difficult to keep up with

the repositioning since your son is at the age where they just can't

sit still....ah, the joys of toddlers!

Good luck to you and please let us know what you decide to do.
