Guest guest
We have Cigna HMO (we're in Denton Texas ~ about 30 miles North of Dallas). Our denial letter is dated 2/26/02. Do I have 30 days or 60 days to file an appeal? All the letter says is that if I wish to appeal I should do so in writing. If its 30 days, then I need to get my behind in gear! If 60, then I still need to get busy, but I have a little time to play with. Also, since most insurance companies are famous for "losing" or not receiving important documents regarding claims they dont want to pay, how do I get this appeal to them so that they wont say "Appeal? What appeal? We didn't get any appeal." ??? LOL Registered mail? The kind that requires a signature that proves receipt? The address to send appeals to is in Houston, TX ~ so hand delivering it is out. Thanks in advance! Lee Ann ~ mom to ~ born 10/2/
