Guest guest
Hi all, First I wanted to say thanks for the welcomes! It's nice to be here. Anyway, my son Jace is 4 months old. We just had our second visit to CT to learn our stretching exercises for the tort. We know that we will be going forward with the band, however CT is working with the insurance company for pre-approval. Question #1, should I go ahead and schedule the casting appointment? I would hate to lose valuable time waiting for the insurance company. Does the insurance company really penalize you for beginning treatment first? Question #2, what has been anyone's experience with United Health Care PPO? Question #3, How quickly did you see inprovement with the exercises? Question #4, what things do you use to keep baby's head straight in the car seat and stroller? I use the head positioner, but he tilts anyway. Receiving blankets? Thanks!! Guest guest
Hi Ana: Well I was going to reply to your questions, but I just checked out Marci's reply to you & would simply like to 2nd everything she said. My daughter didn't have tort either, so I can't offer much personal advice regarding it, but I'm also sure whill chime in (the tort guru!). I never really found much that kept Abby's head straight up while in the car seat, stroller, etc.. Jace will probably be able to hold his head up better in the mos to come, of course with tort, that will be more difficult. Have you tried a boppy pillow already? Those seems to be pretty helpful. Good luck with your insurance - I hope they'll cover it right away, but you never know Debbie abby's mom DOCgrad MI > Hi all, > > First I wanted to say thanks for the welcomes! Guest guest
Hi Ana and welcome! I would just like to reiterate what Marci said. You should wait to hear from your insurance company before getting Jace casted for the band. That way they can't deny you on the basis that you started without their consent. Once you do hear from them, whether it be denial or approval then you can move forward and have Jace casted. I really can't help you in regarda to your tort questions since neither of my twins had tort, but I am sure you will hear from other parents whose children did have tort. Good luck to you and let us know how it goes! Niki Kaylie & Danny (STAR grads) Phila., PA > Hi all, > > First I wanted to say thanks for the welcomes!
