Guest guest
, Wow - you poor thing! How completely frightening! It sounds like you did all the right things. I live in constant fear that will choke on something - I always worry that I won't know what to do. Thank God she is home safe and sound now. God was looking out for her. Guest guest
- You poor thing. What a scare to have Lauryn choking like that! I know the feeling. My choked once on a plastic piece used to hold the wheels on one of those push n ride bikes for toddlers. There was an extra piece and it got lost in the carpet when my husband was putting it together. He was crying and crying and we couldn't figure out why, then all of a sudden he started gagging and right before I was going to do the baby heimlich, he threw up this little red plastic thing. We were so frightened! You are not a bad mom. I felt the same way, but some things just happen as careful as we are as parents. The main thing is that you did the right thing! Please don't think you're a bad mom. I'll tell you what a bad mom is: There is a motel nearby where I live, and this bad mom let her husband burn her 20-month-old son with cigarettes and bite him! Just the fact that you are trying to help your daughter with helmet therapy tells me what a great mom you are! So glad that Lauryn is okay! Give her lots of hugs.
