What about pulsing?

This is what Cheney recommends for Immunovir:

Month 1:

Week One, take 6 tablets a day, Monday through Friday, and none on the

weekend.

Week Two, take 2 tablets a day, Monday through Friday, and none on the

weekend.

Week Three, repeat Week One.

Week Four, repeate Week two.

Month 2: Repeat Month 1.

Month 3: Take the month off - do not take any isoprinosine during the

third month.

Month 4: Repeat Month 1.

Month 5: Repeat Month 1.

Month 6: Take the month off.

any ideas?

His current recommendations of 6,6,6,6,6,0,0 for week one and 2 a day week two

and every third month off is very similar to what he suggested for me years ago,

6,2,6,2,6,0,0. I would go with his current regimen and beginning in month 4 try

cutting the dose in half and see if you get the same benefits at half the cost.

I have to take a month off the stuff so I won't know if the homemade mix is

effective at all or as effective for a couple months. Steve B.

Do you know how the Immunovir tablet translates into the Inosine/PABA

combo?

Think it's 3000 mg. inosine in 3 divided doses and 50 to 100 mg. PABA w/each

dose?

Here is an interesting paper on inosine supplementation...

http://www.pnas.org/cgi/content/full/99/13/9031

Neurobiology

Inosine induces axonal rewiring and improves behavioral outcome after

stroke

Edited by M. Held, Massachusetts Institute of Technology,

Cambridge, MA, and approved May 2, 2002 (received for review February

7, 2002)

Abstract

Cerebral infarct (stroke) often causes devastating and irreversible

losses of function, in part because of the brain's limited capacity

for anatomical reorganization. The purine nucleoside inosine has

previously been shown to induce neurons to express a set of

growth-associated proteins and to extend axons in culture and in vivo.

We show here that in adult rats with unilateral cortical infarcts,

inosine stimulated neurons on the undamaged side of the brain to

extend new projections to denervated areas of the midbrain and spinal

cord. This growth was paralleled by improved performance on several

behavioral measures.

Yea, that's it. Thanks. I just got the Inosine and PABA from Beyond a

century, and 1 teaspoon of the Inosine is 2.2 grams, so the dose must

be extremely small.

PABA w/each dose?

Hello,

I was wondering in the current Cheney Immunovir protocol,

how much are we talking about for each unit of the 6 for each day of the five

weekdays.

Does the 6 mean six 500 mg tablets or six 1000 mg tablets?

Thanks for your help, and we'll get this nailed down specifically for other

people who inquire.

I kept my last empty box. They are 500 mg. each. By the way, he had

me on 6/6/6/6/6/2/2 pattern.
