Hi to everyone!

My name is Christy and my daughter, is 4 months old. She has

congenital muscular torticollis, plagiocephaly and we are in the

process of ruling out craniosynostosis. Her poor head is almost

taking on an " s " shape if you view it from above. The doctors at

this point feel this is being caused primarily from the torticollis.

I am very frustrated at this point because we have heard so many,

many differing opinions on treatment for . I have three

questions:

1. What are members' experiences with the doc band?

2. Has anyone heard of this soft helmet? That is being suggested by

a doctor in Winston-Salem who is a cranio facial specialist. They do

not believe in applying pressure to the baby's head as the doc band

does. The doc band sounds so great and I have heard of wonderful

results, but I haven't read anything about the soft helmet.

3. Is there anyone in the group in my area?? We are active in the

torticollis and craniosynostosis groups and have found wonderful

support locally from them, but would love to meet some plagio parents

also!
