Guest guest
Hello everyone, This is my first post. Today we went for the molding of my son's helmet. He is 5 month old and has been diagnosed with torticollis/plagiocephaly at the age of 4 months. After a month of physical therapy, his physician recommended the helmet to correct the moderate flat spot in the right side of his head. The shape of his skull is typical, when view from top it looks rectangular. The face is slightly assymetrical with the right eye a little bit bigger but it is very hard to see if you are not aware. I think I should get the helmet by 2 weeks. Does anyone tried an osteopath ? I am very satisfied with the physical therapist but someone recomended me to try an osteopath as it could avoid to wear a helmet or at leat reduce the time spent on it. What do you think ? I am a litle bit septical on ostheopathy and do not see the difference with physical therapy. Thank you all for sharing your story, it gave me a lot off help and confidence.
