Anyone have success with just waiting for the head to round out?

Does anyone have success waiting 3 or 4 years for the head to round

out? I was told by three doctors (one a pediatric neurosurgeon) that

my son's plagio is mild and that it will round out on its own by the

time he is three or so. He is now 15mos. A helmet seems so extreme

and the doctors don't recommend it. They seem to think it will take

care of itself. My concern is that my son's slightly moved ear

won't move back and his head won't round out. Everyone seems to have

used a helmet and I don't want to look back at what I could have done

if things don't improve like the doctors tell me.
