Guest guest
, I would say it is very, very rare for a parent to go through the banding experience and come out on the other end with regrets. In fact, I really cannot think of anyone who has said they regretted their choice to band. At least you will always be able to say, " I did the best I could to help my baby " . To me that was motivation enough! I can understand the negativity. I was very disillusioned with the medical industry (still am a little) for NOT stepping in and making a diagnosis earlier and for making me fight tooth and nail to get the helmet covered by insurance. That is behind us now and I am happy with the choices that I made because looks great and proud that I stood up to my insurance company and won. I think once your baby gets into the band and you see how well he adjusts you will be very satisfied with your choice as well. Hang in there - it is surely a difficult road to travel. But it's true that " what doesn't kill you will make you stronger " and I feel a lot stronger and much more empowered now that I have made it through the experience. It's true that God never gives us more then we can handle and we may not understand His reasoning at the time, but someday it will be clear. Good luck and hang in there!
