Guest guest
, We didn't have any significant issues with putting clothes on over the helmet, however, we had a locally made helmet which was pretty small and slick. Shirts that have snaps on the shoulder are good! Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
OK, This is probably going to sound ridiculous, but I need some advice. Dane gets his DOC Band next weekend. He has really bad reflux and I have to change his clothes (and mine) at least 3 times a day. Do clothes fit over it easily or do you just take it off when you change clothes? I need to get him some new clothes this week and am wondering if I should get button down outfits. Also he has awful skin. In addition to eczema (which is pretty much under control with diet), he is allergic to disposable diapers and wipes. Is anything recommended to prevent a rash? I'm sure I will get a lot of info when he gets the DOC Band, I just want to make sure I am prepared with the right lotions and potions. Thanks for your help! Guest guest
: I found shirts that had 2 or 3 buttons on either the back, front or side to fit over Abby's DOCband. That's not a ridiculous question at all. I hated taking the band off to fit her clothes over her head, so I would imagine it would get real tiresome for you with Dane's reflux and frequent clothes changings. Regular pull over shirts w/o any buttons or snaps would not fit over Abby's band. Onesies fit ok, of course they were stretched out a bit but they fit just fine. My favorite were one piece outfits, that had a lot of buttons down the front! Those were the ticket, I got a lot of those from The Childrens Place . There have been a lot of eczema w/DOCband questions in here in the past. Some babies have found that wearing a band helps the eczema. Abby never had it, I'm sure several other parents will offer good help for that - hopefully it doesn't become an issue with Dane. Let us know how the fitting goes. Good luck.
