I originally thought that my daughter Madison would be in the docband

now it looks like she will be wearing the starband. I was just

wondering what is the difference? The bands look the same to me. I

tried looking in the pictures that are posted but they all look like

they might be the docband. I dont see where any of them refer to the

starband in the picture. If anyone has a picture of their child in a

starband and wouldn't mind sharing? Celeste, (Madisons Mommy)

Hi Celeste:

I think I might have already given you this link to compare the DOC &

STARbands - but if not here it is again:

http://www.plagiocephaly.org/support/compare.htm

The DOCband & STARband are similar in appearance, my Abby wore both

bands - she wore her STARband first, then after 3 unsuccessful mos

wearing it, we switched her into a DOCband. The key to success in

these bands, is an experienced orthotist. My STARband orthotist

wasn't experienced, therefore, Abby's head did not improve.

To see some pics of STARbands - you might want to check out

Orthomerica's website - I think it's www.orthomerica.com - or it's

www.orthomerica.net Niki's (one of our group moderators) twins are

pictured in the All Star section.

Hope this helps.
