Guest guest
Jill, I have the same problem with my 14-month old daughter. She can walk. Several times I saw her walking, but I think she doesn't like to do that. She prefers to walk on her knees. So I could use some advice too. Guest guest
My little girl finally started walking at 16 months, the same week as my baby boy was born. If we occupied her hands with something to carry, she would be distracted enough that she would do it. For the first week she only walked while holding a piece of clothing, like a sock. Something to try. Also can your babies get to standing without pulling up on something? I think they are not ready to walk until they can get to standing without any assistance. was slow at most of her motor development, but I never worried because that seemed normal for her. Also I would recommend no shoes just barefeet until they are walking well on their own. still has more difficulty with her balance when in her shoes. Enjoy those babies, they grow up too fast anyway. Hope this helps. DOC grad, now 18 months Drew, 2 months
