Guest guest
Hi! I'm also from Michigan but have just now gotten our diagnosis and it will be several weeks until we get to the helmet. It seems our helmet will also be coming from Danmar products. Because our son, , is only 3 1/2 months old, we do not need the more aggresive therapy of a band. What area of Michigan are you in? , mom of Regan &
Guest guest
Any Michiganders out there? Hi, I'm from MI but I can't help you out, I've never looked into any locally made helmuts. We are close to the Ohio border, so we chose to drive to the Cleveland area for a Doc Band. I hope someone else from MI can help you out. - mom to (banded 3-10-02) MI I have some questions about a helmet that my daughter will be getting soon. I hear alot of information about the Doc band and Star band, but this helmet is made locally in Michigan by Danmar Products Inc. Has anyone heard of this company? One thing I know for sure that this helmet (Michigan Cranial Helmet) has been FDA approved. Anyone else in the Michigan area familiar with this helmet or company? If so, were you happy with the results? I know that it is considered a passive helmet. Has anyone had success with a passive helmet? For more plagio info

I think that maybe the passive design might be more appropriate for younger babies. It seems that the dynamic design might be better for older babies who have fewer growth spurts. Of course, that is just my view. We are from Oklahoma so we do not have specific experience with the helmet you are getting. Good luck!
