Guest guest
Kelli- I can totally sympathize. Only Grace is on the opposite end she started teething so early and at 4 1/2 months her bottom two teeth broke through then at 5 1/2 months the top two came through now I have the two next to those and the eye teeth coming through and she is just 6 months and MISERABLE! I just hope I get my sweet baby back soon because right now she is CRAZY! (ha ha ) I have tried everything and lately nothing maks her happy. So my thoughts are with you and Grace
Guest guest
Kelli, I second what Kellie said, Baby Orajel seemed to work for us (sometimes!), especially the nighttime formula. Someone else told me about some kind of powder they eat, that helps, like a candy flavored powder or something. Anyone know about this? Never tried it! Guest guest
Okay, I have a VERY late teether. She only has 4 teeth, two top, two bottom... Now... shouldn't the other teeth next to those come in first??? I have two molars capping in back, their thru now, but ouch... now, I have one eye tooth coming in, and Now a bottom molar, the other two were top back ones. My poor little girl is one grouch in a half... she's hurting and doesn't want anything I give her to help, she'd rather fuss all night long... I so need my sleep here. Is there anything but wet washclothes that help? She's going thru some bubblegum tylenol. i know, I know, I just have to tuff it out. She's 16 months old. Guest guest
Keli - I know a ton of kids who don't get their canines until after their molars come. A friend's daughter got her canines first. She looked like Dracula! I like Ibuprofen a ton better than Tylenol. It lasts 6-8 hours. Since it is an anti-infalmmatory, it helps with the swelling and pain too! On bad days, I give IB ever 6 and Tylenol every 4 on the advice of our ped. A BabySafe Feeder is great too. It's a mesh bag that you can put an ice cube in for them to hold and eat. Guest guest
, Thanks so much for the advise. I'll buy one of those baby feeders tomorrow for ice. Never thought of that. I have both Advil and tylenol, I switch on and off, but never thought to use them at the same time... good idea. K
Guest guest
My son, Gavin, who is almost 16 months, is also a late teether. He finally cut his first molars this week (at least they are starting to go through). Have you tried Advil? It is an anti-inflammatory and worked better for Gavin than Tylenol. Teeth don't necessarily go in a specific order, I have been told. Gavin cut his first molar before he cut his last bottom "flat" tooth. Seriously, though, try the Advil. I had very good luck with that and also I put teething gel on a baby spoon and let him munch on the spoon (I couldn't put my fingers in his mouth or he would have removed them for me). Good luck! Guest guest
got her molars then her canines. She was also a late teether and meaner then snot when she was trying to bust one through. Every time she started to get one close to the surface she got a terrible cold to go along with it! Yikes! Marci
