Guest guest
Hi all, Just a quick update -- Aetna finally agreed to pay 100% of 's DOC Band and they actually paid so I know they're for real this time. A brief history: was initially approved by Aetna to cover 80% of the band as out of network. He wore his band for just under six weeks for really great correction. Right about the time he finished treatment, we heard from Aetna that they would only pay for around $50. It seemed like they didn't know what the band was and were paying for a monthly Durable Medical Goods rental fee. It took a few phone calls, but hubby finally found someone who knew what we were talking about. Not only did they agree to pay for it, but they decided to cover 100% (so we will be getting a refund from CT!) I'm so relieved. Our original letter from Aetna had the statement " this does not guarantee coverage " so I thought they were changing their mind.
