Guest guest
Dane was a little behind with rolling too. I guess tort kids are often a little delayed with that stuff. He just started the day before he turned 6 months. He still isn't too good at rolling onto his right side. His therapist told me to roll him up in a towel like a burrito and unwind it (slowly). She also told me to lay out a towel and put him closer to one end. Then slowly lift that end up. This forces him to roll. He started rolling on his own within a couple of days of starting this. Actually I'm glad you posted this because I should start that back up again and work on him going to the right. Yesterday she gave me some handouts to help him transition to sitting on his own from laying down and trying to get him to crawl. I can have my husband make copies and mail them to you if you want. Just email your address. Dane's mom (DOC Band 2/14)born 9/
Guest guest
, Its comforting to hear about other kids a little late...the towel idea is great, I do need to work on Riley rolling back to stomach to the right, so that should help! I've been working with my pt on transitioning for lying to sitting and crawling and he's probably given me the same handouts!!But thank you so much for the offer. It really does help to know there are others out there with similar experiences! Michele, mom to Riley rmanias <rmanias@...> wrote: Dane was a little behind with rolling too.
