Guest guest
Hi as far as losing hair when Grace got her helmet she was 3 1/2 months old and did not have much hair at all just a little fuzz. We just assumed that she would probably not grow any hair during this period or what little she did have would rub off eventually. She has been in the helmet for 2 1/2 months now and is growing hair like a weed. It continues to get thicker and grow where the helmet is covering and also through the top where the helmet has a hole. Whether or not she would have more by now without the helmet we don't know but we do know that it is coming in fast and furious as the helmet treatment continues. Hope this helps Thanks and Grace
Guest guest
dear elanor i am the lady you saw at kings collefge hospital with my son zac, how do you feel about the band and everything i found the trip very stressful and not looking forward to many more trips down but we have no choice as we like you want to do the best for our children i am concerned about this hair loss thing ive not heard it mentioned before is it because the band is restricting hair growth in the areas where the band is over a number of months restricting the hair follicles? Guest guest
Hi , I'm not quite sure - but i presume so - i'm sure it's very rare but i was interested to see if anyone else on the site had experienced that problem. To be honest i have the same feelings as you - but we took the attitude that we really have nothing to lose ( apart from the bloody awful trips)and if worst comes to the worst at any stage we can always take it off. I believe that Ann has been through the whole experience down there with good results so thats very positive. I's good to know ( well you know what i mean) that we are sharing the same feelings on this as i'm sure many others have too.
