Guest guest
Hello All, This last 2 weeks has been a bit crazy. Thank you to everyone for getting me the direct links to the school info. I needed. It's hard to get it all as one person. I am just going to sum up what has been going on, as many of you have been asking. The school district has been working hard with me to work this remediation out. They called a board meeting with myself and the remediation company, where I was asked by the district to come in as their advisor and question some of the things they were doing. The district has taken all of my advice since I went into the board meeting on Monday night, and surprised them all. We had clearance done on the portable yesterday, of which I was there to watch the process, and make sure it was done properly, by an un-biased company. They also tested the rooms inside the building where the contaminated items were brought to. They have asked me to work with them to set up a protocol for our district. The kids will not be moved back into the portable this year. I am most assured we will not clearance on the portable anyways. They have looked at my daughters attendance records, and are able to correlate her absences to the time when I say the problem began. As she has been extremely sick again. Our district has a school that is latex free, peanut free, and after our doctors visit next week we will be getting a letter for her mold hypersensitivity. So, they are willing to work with me and make it mold free. I am very excited that I have been able to take a district who knew nothing about mold 2 weeks ago, to a district that is now implementing new protocol, and willing to ensure the safety of our children. Once again, I searched hard for the best education possible for my children, a district who would help my children get back what they lost to the mold. They have done an outstanding job. I wish others were as fortunate as we are.
