Guest guest
No, just a similar name. It does look confusing at first. I have a bone to pick with them because they've been going around scaring the livin' daylights out of PWC's and MCS patients - to the point where some people have told me they have nightmares about mycoplasma and secret toxins and stuff when they've read this. If you read the stuff they write very carefully, you'll find they make some really gigantic leaps of belief that serve to do nothing more than promote their theory and scare sick people. And also, I'm thoroughly annoyed because they're swearing up and down that all this illness is induced by mycoplasma, when we know that is not the case. Mycoplasma could realistically be part of the disease _process_, but not the cause. It's like the EBV thing. If it was the cause, then every time you found CFS or MCS, you'd find mycoplsma. Not that you find mold exposure every single time, either. But you can trace CFS and MCS directly to the mold exposures in some people - not so with mycoplasma. I guess that's the bottom line - they can promote a theory all day, but if true, it will be provable and capable of duplication. They haven't done that. I tested negative for mycoplasma, but I have guys in moonsuits, the symptoms of tricothecene exposure, and buried environmental reports. That's about all the conspiracy I can stand for one lifetime.
