Guest guest
No, they're only 14 years old but they're single pane and just don't seem very tight - I'm sure they're tighter than the rope type, though. Your storms don't fix the problem? Bob > > > > I don't know, Barb. I am looking into storm windows for my house as > > the double hung windows in our house are drafty. Guest guest
The house is still drafty but maybe it is leaky someplace else. It would be unliveable without the storm windows though I'm sure. > > No, they're only 14 years old but they're single pane and just don't > seem very tight - I'm sure they're tighter than the rope type, though. > Your storms don't fix the problem? > Bob >
Guest guest
Hi Barb, If you have your furnace fan pulling in outside air full time(and filtering it), your windows would not be drafty since the air pressure inside would be greater than outside and air would try to escape outwards. It also would stop fiberglass, mold, etc from trying to come in through your walls as well. Fletch
