You have old double hung that are go up and down with ropes?? If I

didn't have storm windows it would be awful but then mine are so loose

they rattle in the frame.

No, they're only 14 years old but they're single pane and just don't

seem very tight - I'm sure they're tighter than the rope type, though.

Your storms don't fix the problem?

The house is still drafty but maybe it is leaky someplace else. It

would be unliveable without the storm windows though I'm sure.

Hi Barb,

If you have your furnace fan pulling in outside air full time(and

filtering it), your windows would not be drafty since the air pressure

inside would be greater than outside and air would try to escape

outwards. It also would stop fiberglass, mold,etc from trying to come

in through your walls as well.

I think now my cat is bringing pollen in on his coat. He goes out

every day and trees around my house are in bloom and I have tree and

grass allegies amoung others.
