Residents of the Waterview Apartments in ville, claim mold

is making them sick.

Tenants at the Waterview Apartments in ville are frustrated.

They say mold in their apartments is making them sick, and the

building owners aren't doing anything about it.

Several protested Saturday afternoon, to warn others about the mold

problem.

Current and former residents of the complex, say they know what it's

like to be physically affected by mold.

One resident says she has been in and out of the hospital so often,

she finally moved out three weeks ago.

Residents of the apartment complex lined-up outside on Saturday, to

warn others about the mold problem.

" A team of toxicologists came in and they had found the mold and

then we did a lot of research on it, they found stachbotrys in

there, " said Holly Holder, a former apartment resident.

Stachybotrys is a mold that grows in ceilings, walls, wallpaper and

insulation backing when they become water damaged.

Individuals with long exposure to toxics produced by this fungus

have reported cold and flu-like symptoms, which medical reports say

could destroy the immune system.

Residents say they want the building owners to address a dangerous,

neglected and on going problem.
