Guest guest
Donna, Legislation has been reintroduced. Call your congressman to have them get involved. HB1269 The United States Toxic Mold Safety and Protection Act. That is the only way I expect to get any medical help. Don't know how long it takes but have to get the legislation approved to accomplish anything. Sharon on this site has been very involved with the legislation. Guest guest
Comical? No, It crazy and it hurts. We have contacted all the TV stations and reporters were jumping to do the story and than the call, sorry the manager will not let us do it. We still here from reporters that would love to cover it... Gov. Bush signed a bill that allows for the owers of apaertments like our to be sold for condos and when a certain amout is sold the liability cannot come back to bite them......it is a bad law that again protects the owners....so these high end apartments are being sold as condo's. We tried to stop it calling anyone we could and were told they are doing it as a fraud....knowing the mold is there....BUT both companies involved run the city, serve the state, are " upstanding " people and so the managers of TV stations will not cross them.......the trail if you get on the courthouse records is a trail of the powerful doing what they want and getting away with it......you would be surprised who all is part of the investors and they would be surprised we know....but a good week on the computer and you can figue it out... I am saying all of this to say TV stations in this area are out.......I have called all and when the state agencies admit there is a problem and a baby could now be in our mold infested apartment, they say, " It would be better if you settle it in court " . Now that is a good agency! Not! WE all need to get on the committees...and as says, Let's get a grass roots group and when one of us are in court the rest come with armbands and show the courts we mean business and we care. We can make a difference.....we can raise money to do what we need to do together. I can help with that. We just need to raise the money to be able to do so. I want the President to tell his story of the Texas Gov. Mansion but first he has to know we all want that and push him. I know how to talk to these folks. I was part of a group that did this about drugs and teens and it really worked....I went to Florida leg. and I talked to anyone that would listen but in kind and a way to inform so they would listen. In writing letter we need to put in company names and people but not slander and yell.....but write as we assume they sure want to help. That gets supporters. We can get mad here and sound off but trying to change govenment policies takes compassion......when you are passionate about something they listen. Now if we do it together they must listen. The reporter that did our story Jeff Billman may listen and write for all of us..... Donna Godfrey elvira52 <Elvira52@...> wrote: comical?
