Guest guest
> There is a person, named Mark Tatum, whose face was eaten away by > mold?? > Yes, he was on Ripleys " Believe it or not " as " The Man Without a Face " . He passed away only less than a few months ago. Very brave sould who endured the glares of the world at his horribly disfigured face in order to educate them to the dangers of mold. But even though doctors were willing to try to save him after the infection, they showed no interest in determining why a fairly common mold should have achieved such a startling pathogenesis. I suggested Stachy to Beveryly Weikert who was trying to help him survive, and this was indeed found in his house. Last time I talked to Beverly, she and her own family were on the run and she was no longer able to offer assistance to Mark. So I'm not sure if Mark was ever able to escape his contaminated surroundings and this may be a factor in his unexpected demise. Has anyone heard from Beverly? -
Guest guest
, I have stayed in touch with Beverly over the years by email and phone. She is back in her home state, living in a hotel at this time and at the same time trying to build a very small house for themselves. That is environmentally friendly to chemcially sensitive people. Bevery and her two children are still having a very difficult time, because they are so sensitized. Just like anything else concerning this mold issue, it seems to take forever to anything done. And when you are sick it takes even longer. I had informed Beverly of Mark's passing and of course she was devastated. She had done everything she could in her power and within her means for Mark. And I commend her. , for about the last year and a half Mark had been in a nursing home, since his hip surgery and his wife was no longer capable of taking care of him, because of her own health problems. That was also requested by her doctors. She was also torn apart by this, but she knew she had no choice. In the long run, it was the best for both of them. I stayed in touch with both of them and I think Mark seemed to handle it better than she. Because of Mark's re-evaluation after entering the nursing home, of his conditions and medications this seemed to have helped him termendously. The last year Mark was the most coherent and aware of his surroundings than I have ever heard him. He was very sharpe and on top his own situation, more than ever. 's health has also improved greatly, since leaving the moldy environment. One of his children had gone back into Marks house recently and because it had been closed up since was admitted to the nursing home and no air movement, everything was literally covered with mold. Mark knew he couldn't go back there. He had been planning on moving in with one of his sons in the near future. Mark's final chapter of his experience with mold contamination. Guest guest
, What do you mean this person, Beveryly Weikert, was 'on the run'? On the run from mold or what and why? Thanks wrote: his house.
