SAATHII is looking for a Country Coordinator (India). Country

Coordinator requires to have a national vision and broad knowledge of

current HIV/AIDS issues in India with demonstrated experience and

skills in effective communication, networking, project management and

administration,

organizational development, strategic planning, rapport building with

different sectors and fund raising / grant writing.

Responsibilities :

The principle role of the Country Coordinator (India) will be program

development and implementation including information dissemination,

capacity building, advocacy, networking, research and care, support

and treatment.

Additionally, the Country Coordinator (India) will have to :

· Undertake strategic planning and ensure regular monitoring

and evaluation of activities

· Explore, initiate and execute funding options (especially

proposal writing)

· Liaise with other HIV/AIDS projects in India

· Plan, implement and monitor various activities of SAATHII,

guide staff and assess their performance (including staff in other

city offices along with the respective city Chief Coordinators)

· Provide guidance on financial issues

· Engage and supervise consultants and contractors as needed

· Plan and organizing of workshops and meetings

· Represent SAATHII at local, national and international

meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops

· Keep abreast of information and events related to HIV/AIDS

(local, state, national and international)

Qualifications:

· Demonstrated knowledge of HIV/AIDS issues in India, at least

5-10 years' experience, with specific focus on project management in

India

· A university degree at the Masters level or higher in health,

social sciences, business administration, education or international

development

· Extensive managerial experience in HIV/AIDS projects,

including programme design and implementation, reporting, monitoring,

evaluation, financial and human resource management

· Ability to work independently, as a team player in a complex,

multicultural environment and with demonstrated leadership

capabilities

· Experience and Interest in working / liaising with NGOs, CBOs

and government agencies

· Excellent proven communication and networking skills, and an

ability to forge solid partnerships with NGO sectors, People Living

with HIV, state and central government organizations, Bi-lateral

partners, UN Partners, International Agencies among others

· Strategic planning and proposal writing skills, with

demonstrated fund raising achievements

· Capacity to coordinate the transfer of knowledge and skills

to a broad range of local players

· Proven financial administration skills

· High level of written / spoken English language skills,

public speaking and presentation skills

· Sound computer skills (including usage of Internet and

software like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook Express. etc.)

Salary and other benefits: Commensurate with experience and expertise

and will be negotiable. An initial one-year contract will be offered,

with an option for renewal.

SAATHII is looking for an Administration Manager with office

administration, trust management, financial management, grant writing,

program management and communication skills for SAATHII's head office

in Chennai

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The principal role of the Administration Manager will be to support

the Country Coordinator (India), Regional Coordinators and

Administration Managers of other city offices, specific Programme

Coordinators and provide financial and administrative services for the

activities of SAATHII. In addition, the Administration Manager will

assist in supporting the administrative and financial accountability

requirements of the donors and fiscal sponsors of SAATHII.

Responsibilities:

·Provide general administrative support to the Country

Coordinator (India) and other staff, including communication by post,

e-mail, telephone and fax with all staff and other agencies.

·Together with the Country Coordinator (India) and other staff,

ensure the development, implementation and maintenance of a system to

track resource flows to SAATHII and expenditure details.

·In close consultation with financial management advisors of

SAATHII (READ and Sahaya International) provide financial

administrative support for the smooth operation of SAATHII's

activities.

·Assist the Country Coordinator (India) in developing and

compiling financial reports

·Other duties as stipulated by the Country Coordinator (India)

Qualifications:

·University degree or equivalent, specialising in

administration, management, business, finance and accounting

·Proven experience in utilising / applying accounting and

financial tracking software packages and contemporary accounting

systems. Skills and well-demonstrated experience in programme

administration, as well as proven financial credibility are advantages

·Ability to prepare financial statements according to Indian

and International auditors' standards in close consultation with the

financial management advisors of SAATHII

·Experience in HIV/AIDS project management.

·Ability to assist the project teams and work in a team setting

·Ability to coordinate administrative activities of all SAATHII

offices.

·High level of written and spoken English language skills,

including the ability to translate health related information from

some of the Indian languages into English, and vice versa

·Sound computer skills (including usage of Internet and

software like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook Express, etc.)
