Guest guest
Thanks. I followed the Zone Diet by Barry Sears before I even knew I had a mold problem and besides losing weight I noticed I FELT better than ever, calmer, went off my sleeping medicine etc so I think I already had mold problem but was at lower level and didn't know it. I went from 145 to 132 and was pleased but went off diet when I was under stress and had trouble sleeping again due to stress. My doctor put me on some medicine/antidepressant to help me sleep. It dried out my mouth and throat and later realized it suppressed my immune system so got sicker than ever. Now dieting isn't enough. I feel better than if I don't diet but I still am sick and (had cancer found this past fall, very early stage ovarian accidentally found for surgery of something of benign source, an ovarian cyst I had for years that started to get too large), so no chemo or radiation but also tested positive to high number of EBV and now doctor found I had staph infection in nose. In short due to immune system depression of medicine I am beset with health problems/infections of a various sorts. If I go off diet and eat something with sugar, I don't gain weight, I feel sick and have terrible body aches and pains, even going back to eating bread for a few days did that. Also now I have trouble with being too thin, went from 132 to 109 now since last summer. Now I'm trying to put weight/ well actually muscle back on without much energy or strength to exercise. I think immune suppressing medicine just was the 'last straw' affect for me. Anyway, I am fan of Zone Diet. I felt better on it than Atkins. I felt better having 'some fruit' at end of meal as dessert. I think you need the nutrition. His theory if it is after a meal, digestion slowed by protein and fat in meals prevents spikes in blood sugar that you would get from eating the fruit by itself, etc. Of course followers of his can also have sugary desert this way but would be too much for Candida or fungal sufferer. --- In , " Greg Weatherman " <gw@a...> wrote: >> > I don't think it is possible to eat toxin free food.
