I use the rock stuff too, although, I do prefer the spray one, it seemed to be

more effective.

Find out what stinks in Genesee County!

I stopped using aluminium-based deodorants several years ago after they were

linked with an increased risk of breast cancer.

Since then I have been using a rock crystal deodorant and find it very

effective indeed. I do not have problems with odour although it does not

prevent sweating. But then given that sweat is a natural bodily discharge

which should never be suppressed, that's fine by me. I have noticed though

that I do not tend to sweat as much since starting to use this deodorant.

Degree of odour is going to depend on the state of your body - if you're

heavily toxic you'll stink. If not, and you wash regularly, even if just

with plain water, sweat should be odourless. It becomes a problem when it

mixes with the bacteria that naturally occur on your skin.

There are many brands of rock crystal deodorants out there to choose from so

you should have no problems finding one to suit you.

BTW, as this is now an OT subject, so can you please make sure you change

the subject line for those on digest who don't want to read OT stuff?

There is also a list for OT subjects like this.

Just wanted to say that I've tried the GSE under my arms for two days now and

it's done really well. I don't think I perspire as much and I smell much better

by the end of the day! I'm going to keep trying it.

I would think it would be difficult to apply for my dh or anyone who doesn't

shave under their arms, though. It takes me more than one or two drops, but not

very much and the stuff is not terribly expensive.

Thanks for the tip!

These are great suggestions, you guys, thanks! I think I'll try the GSE one

first since I

already have it on hand. Much better than using the anti-persp and then purging

the

aluminum later (it was pretty easy to do, and it accumulates very slowly, that's

why I

wasn't stressing too much over using the anti-p). We've got so many toxic

chemicals

in our everyday lives that I wasn't going to get bent out of shape about using

something that wasn't so great, but better to go as clean as possible if I can.

Thx -

Me too! GSE is pretty oily, so just putting my arm down smears the

couple of drops over my underarm area. Seems that someone who doesn't

shave could drip it between the hairs and then put his arm down, but,

yeah, probably take a couple extra drops. -Angie
