Guest guest
Many have received SSD. There are also HEAP benefits for those who can't afford to heat their homes in the winter. I don't know how long these things will last, though, with the current administration. I hear your frustration and know that most agencies are not helpful at all. However, there are some that are. Social services is a beginning. If you're over 55, there are senior agencies out there that provide meals, legal help, and many other services at no charge. Some churches are also extremely helpful too. Mine has given away cars and looked for shelter for the homeless. It also has a food pantry and clothing provisions. Since yours is a work issue, ADA should force your employer to make reasonable accommodations for you. You do have to fill out the papers, though.
