central vacuum hose smells!

Due to MCS and triggers everywhere, my husband drilled holes for a central

vacuum and we installed it the unit in the basement.

Id love to start using it, but the hose itself absolutely stinks. I guess its

vinyl and I just didnt think about it. I have left it outside for over a month

now. Its been hailed on, rained on, and had sun hit it - we even had a local guy

run an ozone machine in a room with it.

Its back and outside and still smelling.

Ideas???
