Have you heard the story of the " day of st anthonys

fire " a book about how LSD was discovered? it was

during WW2 in France. A small town called St

all went on a group trip. *S* one by one and then more

and more citizens of the little town started going

crazy, or so it seemed, they were all experienceing

the kind of symptoms one has from a Trip on Acid.

hallucinations, distortion, etc. after a while the

only town doctor began to see a pattern, and started

thinking there may be a link . He began asking

questions and discovered they all ate bread from the

same bakery. then he discovered that there were a few

scattered instances in nearby towns and their bakery

also got its flour from the same mill he also

discovered that this mill got it's flour from another

place, and the last shipment of flour sat in a hopper

car on a railroad siding for several weeks because of

the war, and it got a little moldy, but times being

what they were, they used it anyway. It turned out

that wheat mold, called ERGOT mold contained Lysergic

Acid which when ingested proved to produce those

symptoms. and that is how they discovered LSD. Later

government chemists synthesized it in a laboratory

trying to make it into a weapon.( and experimented on

our own soldiers too of course!) and that is how it

came into common existance.
