The measure lets parents choose to not have their children immunized. The legislation is the first of its kind in the United States. It heads to the state House after passing the Senate on a 36-to-1 vote Wednesday. The Food and Drug Administration has approved the cervical cancer vaccine for use in girls as young as nine, and in women up to age 26. It's been called a breakthrough in cancer prevention. Some conservative groups have argued that requiring the vaccine would infringe on parents' rights and send a message that underage sex is OK. -------------------------------------------------------- Sheri Nakken, R.N., MA, Hahnemannian Homeopath Vaccination Information & Choice Network, Nevada City CA & Wales UK $$ Donations to help in the work - accepted by Paypal account earthmysteriestours@... voicemail US 530-740-0561 (go to http://www.paypal.com) or by mail Vaccines - http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccine.htm Vaccine Dangers On-Line course - http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccineclass.htm Reality of the Diseases & Treatment - http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccineclass.htm Homeopathy On-Line course - http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/homeo.htm
