Guest guest
Group -- I've been dealing with a fairly stubborn case of Thrush (oral candida) over the last five years of my illness. I've used antifungals (ketokonazole, nystatin), which seemed to knock it down for a bit, and ongoing use of GSE and peroxide which didn't do much. However, for the last month or so, I've been using a new toothpaste, Biotene. I was looking for something without SLS, and found that this product was recommended by the ADA and other European dental orgs. Not cheap, about $5.00 a tube. The surprising upshot is that the Thrush on my tongue seems to be markedly reduced after using this morning and night. It would be interesting to hear on this board from anyone else who might use this product and experiences similar effects. This is not a commercial pitch -- just something I want to pass on.
