Pregnancy & Mold Exposure

I am wondering about exposure to mold and the impact on an unborn

child.

I have found conflicting reports and I haven't questioned my Dr. yet

but I certainly will. I am curious about your experiences.

I started working for my employer 6 1/2 years ago and I was 5 months

pregnant with my oldest daughter. I developed horrible headaches

but attributed it to the pregnancy and new job stress.

I moved into a newly constructed office in April or May 2000 and I

was 3 months pregnant with my youngest daughter. I was incredibly

sick at this point, still not knowing why, but again, blaming it on

my pregnancy.

I only gained 5lbs the entire gestation period, had to see a high

risk pregnancy Dr, had four ultrasounds and was put on a fetal

monitor two times a week.

She was delivered 3 1/2 weeks early via emergency c-section because

she was under so much stress.

She had her first ear infection when she was 2 weeks old (very

unusual) and it has been hell ever since then. She is 4 ½ now and

she couldn't hear until last year because of all of the infections,

her body rejecting the first set of tubes and developing MRSA in her

ear. She has also had RSV, pneumonia, viral infections, strep

throat, sinus infections, bronchitis, etc. Her list of illnesses is

much longer than some adults.

I have the fungus growing in my sinus and ear. Since it is growing

in me could it have transferred to her as an unborn child? I'm not

exactly sure how this whole goes yet. I have been sick for years

and just found out a few weeks ago WHY. Until April of this year I

thought the only mold that was dangerous was stachy…how wrong I was.

My husband and three other children haven't experienced these

illnesses; just her and me. What is the likelihood that she is sick

from my exposure to mold?

Any direction would be helpful & appreciated.

J.
