Guest guest Posted March 10, 2004 Report Share Posted March 10, 2004 Regional Co-ordinator: Asia and Eastern Europe (Ref: FP/159) £40,000-£45,000, Based: Brighton, UK The Regional Co-ordinator will lead the Asia and Eastern Europe team (currently consisting of ten staff based in the UK and an extended team in field offices in India, China, Ukraine and other field based staff in Cambodia) within the broader Field Programmes Department. Key Requirements * Strong technical skills in community based HIV/AIDS programming (prevention, care and/or impact mitigation), * Significant experience of working in developing countries in HIV/AIDS programming. * Minimum 6 years international development/international public health experience. * Relevant post graduate qualification (e.g. Masters in Public Health) * Relevant work experience in Asia. Work experience in Eastern Europe an advantage. * Proven skills in strategic planning and team management. Within the region, the Alliance currently supports programmes in Cambodia, India, Mongolia, the Philippines, Thailand, Ukraine and China as well as a regional programme of work. The Co-ordinator will further improve and expand our programme work in the region, manage the implementation and development of our regional programme, as well as manage and further build the capacity of the team and its members. A strong familiarity with HIV/AIDS work on the issues of care and support, the involvement of people living with HIV/AIDS, injecting drug use, men and mobility and sex work is desirable for this position.
