Guest guest
Hi Everyone- I sent the following message to the lungline at National Jewish. They couldn't help- anyone have any ideas? Any help appreciated- Thanks! Hello- I have had asthma since about 10 years old. It was mild and subsiding until I began working in a documented sick building. It then became a chronic condition which causes me to take daily medications. I had tried allergy shots years ago and it made me worse. I have been currently trying to take shots again upon my Dr's. advice. Three Tuesdays ago, I had my shots and the one that contains the antigens to mold had a very large reaction with pain, hard site. I then proceeded to have a meneire's attack approximately 24 hours later. I developed bronchitis 5 days later. I believe this was due to an arthrus reaction. The meniere's is continuing. I am currently being evaluated for bronchiectasis and allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (I believe). I had a ct scan that showed atelactesis but it was not a high resolution one. I have a history of peripheral eosinophilia. I have begun to cough up blood streaked sputum. This is all in relation to working in the sick building which is contaminated with mold. I had serum sickness years ago due to a tetanus vaccination from horse serum. I feel the same symptoms in my hands now. Does this seem to support a diagnosis of the above? Should I continue to have allergy shots or will this make the condition worsen? I know that you can not diagnose but any information would be appreciated. Thank you for your time and attention. Sincerely, Madeska
