In general, comprehension and other mental processes seem much slower. I'm interested in what's happened to the brain, and how it can be fixed. * In an effort to test and exercise the brain, as well as to learn more, I took a first year distance education course in Physiology offered by a local university last term. Unfortunately I was being plagued by nausea and diarrhea throughout both the midterm and the final, a fact I attribute to heavy mold plumes on campus which begin to affect me, and the functioning of my brain, before I've even parked my car much less entered a building, even on visits to the campus when I'm not writing exams. * In both the midterm and final I waited until the professor stood to hand out the papers to take my last pre-exam washroom break, then asked for my exam in sections. After I finished each section, I would hand it in, take a washroom break, then take the next section of the test. They wouldn't let me have any sections back again after I'd been to the washroom. Everyone else in the class got all their sections at once and could allocate their time among them as they saw fit. They also could work on the exams while I was in the washroom. They also weren't sick. They also weren't suffering from short-term memory loss, or other symptoms of toxic-mold-brain-damage. * But still I did well, in fact better than anyone else, and by a wide margin. I got 99% on the final and A+ in the course, the only A+ in the class of 47. So the brain still does function, just a lot more slowly than it used to.
