Guest guest
, wasn't banded until she was 11 months + old but her band never rubbed her hair off. I wouldn't be worried about new hair growth. At Nataile's young age she should be in and out of her helmet in no time! > What happens to a baby's hair in a helmet? Does it get rubbed off? Guest guest
Our son was 4 months old when he got his helmet. He has had times when he had what looked like bald spots but the hair kept growing back. Actually, we were told this would happen by the neurosurgeon, and he said it would grow back normally. Hope this helps. Sandy mom of - In Plagiocephaly , " designermother <shoude@b...> " <shoude@b...> wrote: > What happens to a baby's hair in a helmet? Does it get rubbed off? Guest guest
> My sympotms have practically gone away and I am not experiencing hair loss, and yet I am giving allergies to others..... is it still in my hair, my clothes, my skin? I've tried shaving my head, buying new clothes, have moved to a new apartment, have used borax, but nothing works.... I am confused and overwhelmed..... any advise? I have shoulder length hair. I have been in three moldy places but actually my hair is too thick. Thick hair does run in my family. If it gets too long it hurts my neck. I can tell you that if I go someplace the fragrance gets in my hair immediately. Well for that matter it gets in my clothes, etc. But I do have to wash it as soon as I get home. I have the chemical thing. I remember when I was living in the moldy homes I could smell the mold in my hair and clothes. I do usually wash my hair in the evening when getting cute for my husband. At least I try. I wish my mom didn't have mold now. I miss her.
Guest guest
I started Gleevec in 2000, and I did not notice any thinning of hair at first. Then I did lose some and it got thinner for awhile. Also, dry scalp which I still get on and off. I did get very curly hair, and now my hair is thicker than originally. I have to use hair straightener to get the curls out so I can style it. Its really been a challenge trying to get the hair the way I want it. As long as Gleevec has been around, we still do not know if half of what we experience is from the Gleevec, or just changes in our body. Also, menopause causes a multitude of problems. I do think its good to share all these things, because when we see somebody else is experiencing maybe the same thing then you do not feel alone with handling it for whatever the cause.
