Guest guest
Thanks. It’s not as important to me anymore. I was trying to keep my job, by trying to convince my boss of the need to clean out the air ducts and thought I’d be able to get backup from the board. I was just a little surprised by the comment. [] Re: How do you respond? Kim, I tried sending a response but apparently got lost. Since it is important to you I would suggest loaning or giving her one of May's books. He is Harvard educated environmental specialist that has put out some books. You can get them in paperback: " Mold Survival Guide for your Home and Health " and also, " My House is Killing Me! " . He was on Jane ey Show that featured topic was mold. Here is link about him and his background: http://www.myhouseiskillingme.com/aboutus.htm Barb B from Ohio
Guest guest
Thanks - it's actually a woman [] Re: How do you respond? Ask the skeptic if he is religious. If so, have him read the 14th chapter of Leviticus. Then ask him why he thinks it important to destroy a home plagued with mold. You can procede to give him some more modern references. As much as some people on this site are down on EPA and NIOSH, the agencies do recognize mold as a health issue, and have a book available online (free) in pdf format, titled " Indoor Air Quality: a Guide for Building Owners and Facility Managers " . Print out all 130 pages and ask why he thinks NIOSH bothered to create such a reference. There are many other references on the web from respected agencies and researchers which can also be added if desired.
