Guest guest
I found my Certified Mold Professional on the National Association of Mold Professional’s website: http://www.moldpro.org/ [] Need a reputable mold inspector in Minnesota... They are around Park Rapids area. Can anyone post a reputable group or organization of mold inspectors or know of a specific company to look for in that area? Thanks, Fletch
Guest guest
I was at a Geology Conference last mnth, and there was a company there that did do this kind of thing. If I can find out the name, I'll let you know. I'll try to look tomorrow. Some of the problems with the inspections can be: For lack of other information, they use the EPA Guidelines, which may be a good starting point, but some individuals can become ill with any mold exposure at all, and I believe the guidelines can allow some, depending on what the outdoor concentrations are. I live in the Twin Cities, had a mold illness, and the docs not only didn't know what it was, they decided I was crazy, and had no problems other than a mental condition. IDIOTS! I was dying. Thanks heavens I heard about the guys in La Crosse, Wisc, and when I went there, they knew right away what was wrong with me, and proceeded to treat me accordingly. There is a real mental block among the medical community here that prevents them from being very scientific about allergic/toxic illnesses. Good Luck to you! Guest guest
Fletch, there are 3 organizations with professional level training programs for both assessment and remediation. 1. Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. www.IICRC.ORG has a referral service and is the organization primarily responsible for the S520 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Mold Remediation. this is not something they made up to promote their membership. They don't have members. Also, it was a national consensus document with peer review. Although it the end result is geared toward the needs of the general public it can easily be modified to meet the specific needs of individuals. 2. Indoor Air Quality Association www.iaqa.org was a contributing organization to the S520. They also have a referal service for their CMR and CIE. Their mission statement is focused on the consumer. 3. American Council for IAQ www.indoor-air-quality.org Excellent training especially for inspectors and supervisors. Also a referral service.
