Guest guest
County hopes mold issue is dead By Dale Killingbeck, Cadillac News http://www.cadillacnews.com/articles/2005/05/12/news/news03.txt CADILLAC - Mold in the courthouse is gone. Wexford County officials plan to test and see if it moved upstairs. County Administrator Mike Sutter told members of the county finance committee that he plans to order a mold analysis of the second and third floors after requests from officials on those floors. The analysis will cost the county $1,510. Mold remediation efforts in the basement cost the county $16,770 and led to a required $1,980 asbestos survey. Sutter said the asbestos issue appears to be in the crawl space beneath the old courthouse area. " Most of it is in the sand, " he said. Costs for the mold remediation and asbestos study will be paid from money held back from the contractor for the new courthouse addition, Gundlach Champion.
