PWN+ Field report on HIV treatment & quacks

Dear Friends,

I would like to share with you about a feild experience i had on my district

level visit.SIDDHA treatment proved to be a cure for HIV has resulted in New

infections.A man diagnosed of HIV was treated for 5 months and then he was said

he was negative.So he went forward with Marriage and now his partner,whom we met

is infected.

There should be some measures to stop these quacks otherwise we would see more

people being infected.

Another observation made in another district Government hospital is that doctors

force patients to undergo a HIV positive test prior to one's surgery.All these

patients are reffered to VCTC for testing.The doctors reason it as one way of

preventing themselves from being infected.

Proper measures have to be taken to prevent such situations.
