Guest guest
Serena, I love your writing style! I was serious, though. It says ANYONE can vote this, ie: former patients. My hope was that some " choice " mold victims would throw in their two cents on the workers comp docs that are " treating " victims in Florida and then post their vote on this board. We don't want to see any of these guys further rewarded for their misdiagnoses on behalf of the employer's insurance. If the Florida victims would do this, then if one of these guys gets an award, we have more ammunition against the battle. We can better expose these antidisestablishmentarinists! Guest guest
Wow! It sounds like you could be eligible to nominate a worker's comp doc of the year. Do any of the docs you saw, also see patients in Florida? Ya know, some of these doctors have such a special talent, they do often times cross state lines, in their efforts to promote understanding of how to handle the claims of harmed workers. Has Ron Gots ever done anything in Florida for worker's comp? Why this fine man of medicine already has a documentary done on him about just how far he will go in the name of assessing the value of injuries by workers. Or surely, some of the boys from GlobalTox have done worker's comp evaluations in Florida. God knows they have done it in every other state. Guest guest
Can't wait to hear the acceptance speech. " I'm just all choked up. I want to thank all the little people - the people from the mold-infested buildings who dutifully came to us, the contracted care provider for CHOICE, LLC. at their employer's direction. With couselling and antidepressants, we were able to return 100% of these folks to work a.s.a.p. It was only with CHOICE's return-to-work philosophy and a little prozac, that we were able to achieve a high rate of patient satisfaction. The workers are the real winners here. To be sitting here with Donna Shalala, former Secretary of Health and Human Services is a real honor. Just knowing that our government works hand in hand with such a fine organization is more than I could have ever dreamed. Guest guest
Heh - I should have added that CHOICE was one of the the providers my employer had, and they were quick to remind me for several years what great benefits I was getting. Why, the minute I got sick, they shipped me straight off to a participating shrink. In a mere 8 weeks I was right back at work! Of course, the mold had no idea how well psychotropic drugs work on mycotoxin exposure and chose to ignore it entirely. But it sure worked great on the employers, and they weren't even taking the stuff. At least I don't think they were, but hoo, boy! When they told me " There is no problem, and no one is ill. " I was sure relieved! I mean, who knew all that sweating, shaking, dizzy, hacking stuff was all just in my stressed out head? With my bad memory, how could you tell? I mean, I might have just imagined it all and then totally forgot I imagined it all, and then imagined it all over again. Sheesh. No wonder I had an " attitude problem " . I even kept forgetting I wasn't really sick. Silly me. Boy, was my face red! Guest guest
Unfortunately, I didn't see where you got the opportunity to vote AGAINST any of them. Which would be very cool... Guest guest
Nah, not me. The shrink was actually a nice guy, if clueless. I'd buy him a beer, if I ran into him at a pub or something. I just find it amazing that this kind of treatment is pushed as an " employee benefit " , and supported by the former top official of the same government department that swears we can't possibly be this sick from mold. With these kinds of ties, is it any wonder we're in this situation? (And just for the record again - this ain't the old standard Republican Love Big Business tune. Donna Shalala was Bill Clinton's appointee, and has long been reputed to be a close friend of Hillary Clinton's.) snk1955@... wrote: Wow!
