If one in five buildings are contaminated, assuming an even distribution of susceptible persons, 20% of that population, or 13.44 million people in this country are on track for mycotoxicity. To take this one step further, assuming lifetime health care costs of, what -- $500,000 per person? -- this makes for a 672 billion dollar liability? My calculator did not handle this. Is there any wonder we're not getting political traction on this problem? If people did not get sick, the overall costs would be almost trivial. Medical Research for cures is the key to this issue,(this and avoiding contamination in the first place...) and it's being held back by a denial of it's existence.
