I lloked into humidex and decided not to go with it. It is an exhaust fan they

put in your basement or crawlspace, then cut holes in your first floor, and suck

air from upstairs, through open windows or cracks in the house, and exhaust it

out the basement. May help in old houses, but for a new house I think an

AprilAire system, would do alot better.
