Guest guest
Fema auctioning off 18,000 late model 2004-2005 travel trailers. http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/gsaauctions/ I found this out after I bought a 28' kodiak brand new. It has been the best environment I have had in the 8 1/2 years since I came down with mold born illness. I can't close it up and run the ac, or I get moderately sick. But it is far and above my house which I was camping out next to for three years and still continued to be sick from the exposures to house even when I did not go in for weeks at a time. Just being next to the moldy house made me sick. I have to laugh at people whom had there house destroyed by hurricanes if that would have happened to me it would have been the best thing that ever happened to me. Losing your house and possessions is nothing compared to losing your health and living in a health hazard hell-hole I often wonder weather anybody has launched a letter campaign to the Governor to make him aware of the plight people who live the way I had lived and what they are going though. It's funny how people do things differently when no one is looking. Bush was ny on the spot with the hurricane victims but no help for mold victims. I think it would be totally different if the public at large new and understood the plight we suffer. Anyways I called Jeb bushes office and suggested to them that they consider giving trailers to mold injured people who need them. Some of them may be inhabitable but I am sure most of them are far better than my house was. They referred me to fema which is a federal agency. 770 220 5200 fema 3003 Chamblee-tucker RD. Atlanta Georgia 30341 I called them and left a message and no one has returned my calls yet. I thought that if everyone called and wrote them they could not ignore our combined pressure. Because fema is federal agency anyone in the us could fall under there jurisdiction so you don't necessarily have to live in florida to be eligible for their assistance. I think maybe it could not hurt to flood every Governor in every state with letters pleading for federal assistance to this epidemic. The lady I talked to at jeb's office said to send a request via fax for a meeting with bush but I suppose you could fax a request that he consider trying to help us people with mold born illness get a trailer to live in. Jeb bushes office is: ph 850 488-7146 fax 850-487-0801 I don't think the auctions are that much of a bargain when you consider that most " used " trailers are hardly used. They are like new inside. They are for camping not living in. These were lived in full time and a lot of them have been seriously abused. Trailers in this class list for as much as 18,000 to 25,000 new but if your not suckered by the high preasure sailsmen you can get one brandnew like mine for between 14,000 and 17,000. Ones like mine auctioned off at that site for around 10,000 to 13,000 The dealers are buying them back, I am sure they are doing this becuase they don't want their 2006 models sitting around for 2 years. They are far better off to buy these used trailers and make a small profit off of them than to buy the brand new 2006 models and have them sit around and not sell. There are a lot of drawbacks to living in a trailer but it's a lot better than a moldy house. christ
