Guest guest
Diane You sure have come a long way in less than two years. It is wonderful that you are able to take advantage of the F & F medical services. mjh Posted by: " Diane " _dphf@... _ (mailto:dphf@...?Subject= Re:%20Do%20most%20CFS%20sufferers%20have%20cognitive%20impairment......memory,%2\ 0etc) _dphf _ (dphf) Tue Jan 1, 2008 7:22 am (PST) I can identify with your descritpion completely. I can remember sitting in church...noises amplified in my head, activity...just people sitting around me, were a distraction, lights even seemed too much for my brain to process. It seemed as if there was too much information coming in and my brain just shut down because it was overwhelmed. The good news is, today I'm feeling much better, healthier, brain function, while a long way from perfect is better. I don't get overwhelmed driving 5 miles into town and back...usually. In fact we went on an 8 hour shopping trip yesterday and while I was exhausted, I wasn't overwhelmed! I'm so very thankful for that. In case you want to ask, I can't say what turned my health around. I go to a Fibro and Fatigue Center. They treat on many levels...mitochondrIn case you want to ask, I can't say what turned my health around. Guest guest
The amino acid, SAM-e, as recommended by my rheumatologist, improved brain function significantly. mjh **************************************See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004)
Guest guest
I was in that state about the same time. Am very, very much improved. Thanks to a savvy rheumatologist. mjh Posted by: " Tomcy6 " _tomcy6@... _ (mailto:tomcy6@...?Subject= Re:%20Do%20most%20CFS%20sufferers%20have%20cognitive%20impairment......memory,%2\ 0e tc) _tomcy6 _ (tomcy6) Fri Feb 1, 2008 12:00 pm (PST) Hi Marcia and L, I have this problem too. I worry that it will get to the point that I will not be able to manage my own affairs. When I first became ill 16+ years ago my cognitive function got so bad that I couldn't comprehend a paragraph of a newspaper article. I would start to speak and forget what I was talking about before I could finish a sentence. Magnesium injections helped some at first but I stopped getting any additional improvement after my magnesium deficiency was eliminated, I think. Guest guest
I am on DIGEST just for that reason. 25 msgs in one email. Easy for you to change to this mode. mjh (Since I have a hard time keeping up with the traffic in this group (tend to delete 700 messages at a time and then try to keep up for a while :-[ ), if you want to dialog with me specifically on this, please put " " into the subject line. Thanks!) **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music.
