Guest guest
As long as your serum ammonia is not elevated, your urea cycle is working just fine. The liver's urea cycle is capable of detoxing very large amounts of ammonia. You have to have a significant effect to prevent this from happening. Yes, BH4 can lead to more NO generation. However, supplementation BH4 may have the opposite effect: http://www.andrologyjournal.org/cgi/content/abstract/jandrol.107.002758v\ 1 <http://www.andrologyjournal.org/cgi/content/abstract/jandrol.107.002758\ v1> FWIW, I don't see what the connection is between ammonia and BH4. - Mark > I haven't heard of many people supplementing with l-citrulline, and > I've seen pretty low numbers on UAAs for myself and others.
