If that isn't loaded with parasites, I don't know what is. :)

Blanching will barely influence vitamin/mineral content, (and some say that

cooking

vegetables may increase some vitamin content, like vitamin a for example)...but

when I have

an occasional salad, I fill a bowl full of water, then add about a half-cup of

hydrogen

peroxide. After rinsing the salad, I soak it in the water/peroxide...let it

bubble for a minute

or so...then rinse, dry...and eat. :

Well, actually........... the manure is composted first and that kills most

pathogens. Fresh manure damages crops and is not used.

Unless soils are specifically treated for parasites, even chemically

fertilized and insectides crops will be a harbor for parasites.
