Guest guest
Had one today! No reaction except exhaustion from the effort. They want you to be as calm as possible so that your cortisol rates will be accurate so the nurse who did mine, was as sweet as could be. I was very concerned about reactions - the nurse said she knew of some but no one had ever had a reaction in her experience. Kathy F. cortrosyn stimulation test to test cortisol has anyone had a cortrosyn stimulation test and had a negative reaction from the test? It is being suggested by an endocrinologist to test cortisol levels. thanks
Guest guest
Hi Mindy, I found this test very useful and had no bad reactions. Do you feel wretched in the morning? I has the test in the morning and was told to have no breakfast. Within a few minutes of the test (and no food) I was feeling almost human... You could also consider one of the 24 hour tests to see how your cortisol changes during the day. Kindest regards, Annette (In London) __________________________________________________________ Sent from . Guest guest
Annette, are you taking anything for your adrenals now? I have very low cortisol and I feel different after the test too - you said it well: " I was feeling half-way human " . It's a feeling I haven't had in years. I wonder if the test will result in any treatment. Dare I hope? Kathy F. Re: cortrosyn stimulation test to test cortisolHi Mindy, I found this test very useful and had no bad reactions. Guest guest
may naturopath says adrenals of PWC's do respond to the test. It is like whipping a tired horse. With such a strong stimulation adrenals will work. So,it does not give any result about our tired adrenals. bw nil RE: cortrosyn stimulation test to test cortisol > Annette, are you taking anything for your adrenals now?
