Also, the other risks were too much for me. I think they are guessing with brain chemistry. Also, it was determined to be a poor medication for diabetic neuropathy so they pushed it onto our community. Marti
Guest guest
obviously the medicine is too much for your system so the first step is Get your dosage of Lyrica lowered a.s.a.p;to prevent further damage. then supplement with the Vitamin B-complex and Fish Oil a.s.a.p. The Riboflavin Vit. B2 in the B-Complex will prevent Cataratcts. anna- -- In , " pjeanneus " <pj7@...> wrote: > > Has anyone gotten rapidly developing cataracts while on Lyrica? I dislike the psychotropic meds generally, even if they are rx'd for pain. Very hard on the brain and nervous system, and depleting to precious TCM Yin reserves that tend to decline with age anyway. Guest guest
Thanks to those who replied on this question. Apparently I am the only one who developed rapidly growing cataracts while on Lyrica, or maybe no one on this list takes Lyrica or has gotten their eyes examined. Lots of variables... I was on a low dose at 300 mg in 24 hours. I am not vitamin B deficient and had no other explanation than Lyrica for the sudden development of cataracts in both eyes. Indeed, I am 62 and already had the beginnings of slow growing cataracts which is better than normal for my age. These new cataracts began suddenly - I guess like new dirt on the window pane. Years ago I reacted badly to one dose of an SSRI. I also cannot tolerate norepinephrine for dental work. I have severe nerve damage from quinolone antibiotics. Why do I suspect this reaction to Lyrica is part of the same problem? Unfortunately, in five years I have yet to hear of a real solution to such nerve damage. It's pretty sad when the treatment is worse than the original disease. a Carnes > " Anne " <annroc2004@> wrote: > > The Riboflavin Vit. Guest guest
a sorry that happened, sounds very stressful. I tried lyrica very briefly like in Dec, didnt make it a week and didnt take a regular dose, I never do with those sorts of meds because I know I won't be able to tolerate it, not sure what the dose was but minute and I got more headaches and felt gross and said forget it, didnt notice the eyes but provigil in small dose really effected my eyes a couple years ago horrible photophobia and blurry vision that lasted a month after taking a crumb of it so I hear ya on the severe effects from very little phemnomenon. That is interesting what you said about holding breath--you're not joking right? I had read that rebreathing technique in Cheney lit for fatigue and so do that when I am lying down sometimes, hold breath and let out slowly and it does help if I have the patience for it, not miraculously but seems to speed my recovery sometimes when I have gone too long without lying down. Its sort of bizarre to me because don't totally get mechanism. > > > The Riboflavin Vit. Hi a, I recently saw a post on immunesupport.com stating that this person's vison was severly affected on Lyrica - she mentioned it was a known side effect. I do not remember the name of the thread but I think it was just " vision changes " . I will try to find the post for you. Marti
Guest guest
thank you for your comment; in this case of Cataratcts; the Riboflavin B2 @ atleast 100 mgs. a day would have to be taken singly for atleast 60 days to see if the cataratchs reduce; with or without added B-Complex tablets. Riboflavin is needed by the eyes to reflect light and light depletes Riboflain; this is why Milk is put in light block cartons; to make sure the Riboflavin in the Milk is not depleted by the store lights. So the constant deplettion of light on anyone's eyes due to sunlight combined with a deficiney of Riboflavin can cause Catararchs;so wear sunglasses and begin the Riboflavin B2 100 mgs. a day;this helps ! Since Riboflavin Vitamin B2 is the least espensive Vitamin known; people do not think this is important; like expensive Fish Oils are Both Riboflavin and Fish Oils Vitamin A help stop Cataratchs. (known since 1956 ! Riboflavin Vitamin B2 sells for about $5 a bottle; Twin Lab best. A. > > The Riboflavin Vit. Guest guest
Hello you could become deficient of any one of the water soluble B- Vitamins in a very short time; Riboflavin is not stored at all ! Riboflavin is found in Dairy products; very difficult to find in food. > > > The Riboflavin Vit. Muscle soreness can be caused by a Deficiney of Vitamin E I have read. Vitmain E is found in all seed oils; most veggies oils; some bean oil > > > > The Riboflavin Vit.
