start CSM without baseline tests?

I finally got a prescription for CSM, only because my cholesterol test results

were high and I begged for CSM. My doctor (11th in one year!) is not willing to

run all of the tests that Dr. Shoemaker does and I want a baseline of those

blood results before I start CSM for proof of illness as well as monitoring, but

as you can all understand, I'm sick of being sick and want to start CSM today.

Do you think I should just start on CSM, or wait a couple more months until I

can get to land to see Dr. Shoemaker so I can have testing and guidance

first?
